thorns.jpgWhat is the secret to the success of God’s kingdom?  You might think of miraculous events or heroic acts by talented individuals.  In I Samuel 10, we find that God normally works through common, everyday events to accomplish his amazing purposes.  Christians face the temptation of pitying themselves for the boring lives they lead, while God wants us to focus on his promises in every situation.  Listen as Pastor David calls us to see unstoppable word of God as the true secret of God’s kingdom.

Sovereign Service: Love to the Uttermost

servant.jpgWhat does humility before a Sovereign God look like?  Perhaps we should work our hardest to serve him.  After all, he deserves it.  If God is so holy, and I am so sinful, then I had better get to work in order to please him.  In John 13:1-11, we find that what we call humble service sometimes looks more like pride.  There is no service that we can perform to impress God.  Jesus’ disciples found this out as the Lord of glory knelt down to wash their feet. Listen as Pastor David calls us to humble ourselves by accepting the service of Christ who loves sinners to the uttermost.

In fact, our unwillingness to put sin to death is nothing short of prideful rebellion against the Kingdom of Christ. Listen as Pastor David challenges us to offer our lives sacrificially in the service of King Jesus.
